Toronto, Ontario — June 16, 2015 — Police in Ontario’s York Region just north of Toronto have made a spate of arrests following a spike in the number of false accident reports made at the region’s collision reporting. The authorities released an advisory reminding the public that reporting a false collision is a criminal offence and also suggested it was a collision repair facility advising clients to make the fake claims.
