Marijuana Is An Old Remedy That Gives New Relief

Judge supports Bent’s concerns over changed medical reports

A judge has dismissed a libel suit against London personal injury lawyer Maia Bent, who warned members of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA) of concerns over a doctor’s medical reports, the Toronto Star and National Post report.

Motorists’ oral drug testing trial to ‘help establish possible future operating procedures:’ Public Safety Canada

In a pilot project involving anonymous volunteers, several police departments across Canada will start using oral fluid screening devices to test drivers for drugs such as marijuana and cocaine, the federal government announced Wednesday.

Pedestrian injuries, fatalities in Calgary cost society $120 million each year, says city

Calgary’s transportation department recently adopted societal cost estimates from a 2010 report commissioned by the Capital Region Intersection Safety Partnership.

That study tallied the costs associated with emergency services and medical treatment, legal fees and funerals, travel delay, and productivity lost at work. It also measured the monetary cost of pain, suffering and lost quality of life.
