It’s time that auto insurers cleaned up their own house:- ‘Autobody shop scams uncovered by AVIVA’ – and stop using fraud as their excuse!

March is the well-financed IBC fraud campaign month re fraud against auto insurers. To ensure the public gets it, and in preparation for premium hikes, insurer AVIVA, released a study of ‘pervasive’ auto body shop scams. This is the insurer “whose own tactics in fighting legitimate claims have come under fire by the courts.” (“Insurance company uncovers ‘pervasive’ auto body shop scams”, Colin Perkel, Waterloo Region Record, March 12,2018, p A3). As I point out in my book, “So You Think You’re Covered! The Insurance Industry Rip-Off”:

The concussion problem is one of the largest issues being faced by the NFL as a whole and it has continued to be a problem ever since the league, confronted by overwhelming evidence, finally capitulated and admitted the link between repeated concussion and CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy).
